My Students

The meeting area is a magical place. A space where we can visit far off lands and discover new information.

My students are 4th graders on the upper west side of Manhattan.

They are a mix of general and special education students. At our school we don't just focus on the ABC's and 1-2-3's. We have a vibrant arts program in which students can show off everything from their art skills, learn what it takes to be a journalist, or even dance!

My Project

The foam tiles will make the meeting area a warm and welcoming place for my students. When we meet, the students are often gathering to listen to a read aloud, have a class discussion or partake in a lesson about math, science, or social studies. The construction paper is a also a vital part of our curriculum. Having this paper will allow my students to have materials for projects and bring their ideas to life.

These materials will help my students to be comfortable and feel welcome in the classroom.

The foam mats will bring a warm feeling to the classroom. The construction paper will be used throughout the year for a variety of projects.
