My Project

My Prek classroom is typical with plastic chairs, wooden tables, and a cold hard floor. My Preschool students do many activities while sitting on the floor. We may listen to stories, listen and sing to music, and share about special things happening in our lives. Many of my students have motor challenges and it is beneficial for them to sit on the floor to work on building muscle strength. My students also work on physical boundaries and body awareness. Being able to sit on a floor that is safely covered and warm with a new rug will be very inviting and help facilitate many more activities. As a teacher for many years, I have worked in a wide range of classroom environments, Some were plentiful and some were not. It is so important to me and my forever goal to provide my students with what they need to feel at home, A warm happy place is conducive to learning. Children love to lay on the floor to play with their classmates and staff members, A nice soft rug will make that happen! I want to say sure go play on the rug!
