My Students

Our students are sponges waiting to know their worth and waiting to be filled up with excitement for learning! We live in the southernmost city in Florida and are a small blip on the radar between Miami and the Keys.

Our kids are diverse.

They represent many cultures and all have the need to be encouraged along with given the opportunity to be surrounded by literature. Many of our students are experiencing learning loss due to COVID-19 and all of the disruptions it has brought.

My Project

The Media Center is the heart of the school and we teachers at FCE want to make it exciting and captivating! We plan on painting the whole Media Center and then creating murals on our walls.

We want to create a kid-friendly sitting area where we will use our bean bag chairs.

We also, and most excitingly, want to create an area where we can display student work with shelves and frames featuring budding authors and illustrators! Finally, we have a WFCE News team and we would love a place to hang our shirts and costumes and so you see the garment rack included in our wish list.
