Welcome to the media center! Our school library serves staff members and preK to fifth grade students. The media center is the hub of our school where teaching and learning is supported and enhanced. It is a flexible space where collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking happen on a daily basis.
The media center plays an important role in creating and promoting motivated readers and learners for life.
I love seeing students excited about coming to the library and hope to continue to feed that excitement.
My Project
Your donations will help with our Media Center Makeover! Students and staff use the media center daily. Unfortunately it is lacking in some areas. One of the areas is the overall decor. It is dated and lacks student personality. Our media center needs to be updated and reflect our students.
Bright decor and ways to display student work will draw students into the library.
By adding a new brightly colored rug, students will feel more comfortable in the space during lessons and read alouds. New book bins will attract students to the shelves and encourage book browsing and checkouts. Frames will allow student artwork to be displayed. This all will hopefully attract more students into the library and create a space that students want to spend time reading in.
