My Project

I teach AP World History and AP U.S. History. Most of my students have never taken an AP class and they are finding it very demanding. I'm so proud of them! They have done so much for our school and they need to be supported and celebrated.

With this in mind, I want to give my passing students a medal or trophy for their efforts to recognize their hard work, support their self-esteem, and encourage them to continue to take AP courses.

My AP World History students need this recognition, especially to encourage them and try their best to prove to them that they are able to succeed, but it's helpful for their self-esteem if they receive a reward for their efforts. This is especially true for the younger students in the class, because this is new to them and I hope it will encourage them to take AP classes next year, such as AP U.S. History with me again.

My students know that I am writing this project for medals and trophies (a medal if they pass the AP Exam with a 3, a small trophy if they earn a 4, and a large trophy if they earn a 5) for them and they really appreciate it. However, so many students passed the AP World History Exam this year that I am requesting 7 medals, 8 small trophies, and 3 large trophies. I have bought them every year, but have never had a 78% passage rate! I'm so proud of them, but definitely need financial help to receive all of them this year. Thank you for helping me to show appreciation to my kids!
