My Project

The items in this request are measuring tools that will help my students become experts at taking accurate measurements in both the English and metric systems. The trig kit will be used to challenge these students with the abstract concepts of sine, cosine, and tangent. They will learn how to use these three concepts to take measurements in addition to using hand tools.

The goals for this project are for my students to have a better understanding of fractional measurements and how to use the tools.

Many students today think they can estimate with measurements all the time. This project will allow students to see the importance of accurate and exact measurements. This will help them in future careers and real-life situations.

My students, who will benefit from this project, are all hands-on learners. They need to see the connections between what they are learning and how they will use that information in the real world.
