Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a dual language fifth-grade teacher in a Title I school in Williamsburg. The dual students at my school enjoy learning English and Spanish. These students have been learning in a dual-language classroom since kindergarten. Watching their success throughout the years has been remarkable.

I am doing the best I can to measure our students' progress.

To give my students the proper instructions they need in Spanish, I must first gauge their current Spanish reading level. To do so, my students need a more in-depth reading assessment tool.

Your contribution today will go towards purchasing a new reading assessment kit that will be used to measure students' current reading levels in Spanish. This will help me obtain data and target instruction and allow my students to recognize how much they've learned.
