My Project

Cell respiration and photosynthesis are the fundamental processes of life! Plants and other photosynthetic organisms use the sun's energy to convert carbon dioxide into glucose, releasing oxygen as a waste product. All living organisms perform cell respiration, which converts glucose into usable energy and produces carbon dioxide as a waste product. CO2 and O2 gas sensors allow students to directly observe and measure the rates of these processes in real-time.

Having multiple types of sensors allows our students to pool their data to make more meaningful analysis in a limited amount of time.

It also gives students more flexibility in designing their IB Internal Assessment, and independent laboratory investigation.
