My Project

Learners gaining meaningful literacy skills practice they need using a hands on approach for learning the their basic sight words using the reading rods. This will allow them to be engaged and active completing learning goals along with repeated practice on targeted skill.

Durable, easy-to-use, dry-erase boards provides a tactile element to sounding out and blending sounds.

Learners are motivated to learn using different tools. Elkonin boxes allow learners to separate phonemes. Skills include segmenting words into phonemes; identifying beginning, middle, and ending sounds; blending sounds/phonemes to create words; and writing/drawing words. Boards are magnetic for use with magnetic wands and chips or letters, plus they provide plenty of space at the top for writing out a word or placing a flash card.
