My Project

Our wonderful students are mostly non-verbal. We have been working on building their communication skills.

Through these items, we will work on building their peer-to-peer communication and requesting skills with their preferred method of communication (speech device, spoken word, picture exchange communication book).

An important life skill and building block of communication is being able to communicate wants and needs. Through these items (hand-picked based on student interest), students will be able to ask for what they want. They will also be able to work on peer-to-peer communication and turn-taking skills with items such as the bowling pins and walkie-talkies.
