My Students

My tiny humans are the most amazing little people I have ever met. They are super kind, extremely resilient and extremely inquisitive. They love learning. They love being kids and love to have fun. They’ve all experienced way more than they should have in their little lives but they way they persevere and love on each other no matter what is going on is beyond inspiring.

My Project

Hello there! Thank you for taking the time to read my request and for considering donating to my littles! My students are kind and brilliant and have developed a love of reading that some teachers can only dream of. I would love to keep it going for as long as possible. As our year together comes to an end, I have been trying to figure out the most meaningful way for my students to take a little piece of first grade with them. What better way than with our favorite book.

Mean Jean the Recess Queen ruled the playground, our free reading days, and stole our hearts.

I am requesting two class sets of Mean Jean the Recess Queen for my students to take with them after Move Up Day. They have been asking for their own copies since the first time we read it together and it would really mean a lot if for their Move Up Day I could gift them with their own copy. I teach a total of 52 first graders (2 cohorts) and there is no way I'd be able to get all of them a copy on my own. Donors Choose has worked miracles for my littles before so I'm reaching out for your assistance to continue with their love of reading.
