Help me give my students t-shirts and craft items for an opportunity to express their creativity.

My Project

May Day is a special celebration in Hawaii. My students are learning about the Hawaiian islands and will represent the island of Lana’i through hula. The shirts will be used for their hula performance to represent the island of Lana’i.

My students will experience real-world applications in economics.

Our class will learn about goods, services, trading, and bartering. Every student will earn play money and buy materials to create art products to sell. As they make money, they will work on making their products more profitable by figuring out what is in demand based on their sales. Each class will shop and sell items within their class and with the other third grade classes. On the last day of the unit, admin, coaches, and other teachers will be be invited to shop.
