Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are a diverse group of learners who speak several different languages. Although many come from different countries, we have come together to form an amazing community. My students are a very fun, loving, and very active group of kids. Our school is a high poverty school with 85% of our students who receive free or reduced lunch. Although my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom, they still come to school with smiles on their faces and ready to learn.

My Project

My class is a variety of students with different needs and abilities. Just like adults, not every child is the same. With the amount of different needs in my class, my students need a variety of seating options to maximize their learning. Currently we have chairs and a few yoga balls to sit on. Stools and pillows will give my students even more choice when choosing the best place to work. The different seating options will give my students the opportunity to choose a place in the room where they will work their best and stay focused on the lesson we are learning!
