This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These math manipulatives will help build students’ confidence by giving them a way to test and confirm their reasoning. Math manipulatives will also help make abstract ideas concrete and improve math skills. I want to ensure that my students are exposed to a variety of learning styles. Math manipulatives are useful tools to solving problems. They will also make learning math interesting and enjoyable. Manipulatives intrigue and motivate while helping students learn. If students have physical evidence of how their thinking works, their understanding is more robust. Manipulatives help construct an understanding of ideas.
