Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I know the importance of assisting my students in learning critical skills, which they will need throughout their educational journey as well as in their lives. I will be teaching 25 eager-to-learn third graders students in a high poverty Title I school in South Los Angeles. They are ready to explore their world and help each other learn as much as they can.

The majority of my students live in apartment complexes or in multi-family homes.

My students’ parents are supportive of their children's education but lack the resources to help them at home in the way in which they would like.

My Project

The document camera and tablet pen will assist my students to follow along my teaching as they learn, become familiar and are able to use the various learning platforms on their own. As of right now, many of my students are having a difficult time paying attention to my instruction while figuring out how to access the content online. I plan to use the two products to guide them to learn how to use the online platforms at a pace they will feel comfortable with. I want them to focus on learning and not frustrate them with all the changes that are happening.
