My Students

I work in a multi-cultural school and my class has a diverse population of students.

They often require graphic organizers, vocabulary translated in different languages, and other teacher created resources to help break down information.

They also need extra time to complete assignments, and have difficulty taking notes. They want to learn, but they don't always have someone to motivate them. They often go home to empty houses because their parents are working or their parents don't understand the classwork and are unable to help them.

My Project

Due to a decrease in the school budget, my school can no longer provide ink for the classrooms, and most of my students do not have printers at home. I was able to get a printer for my classroom thanks to DonorsChoose.org.

We are almost out of ink, and the toner cartridge I am requesting would help students practice math skills in a more modern and fun way, rather than completing the same skill and drill tasks over and over again.

It would enable the students to print their class notes. I would also be able to create resources to help students comprehend difficult topics and new vocabulary.

Without ink, my students will not be able to improve their math and technology skills. Learning how to solve math problems will provide students with skills they will use their entire lives. These skills can provide them with exciting learning opportunities in the future!
