My students are great! They love to be at school, and they are always eager to learn. My students are from a Title I school in Maryland.
The majority of my students come from Spanish-speaking countries, and the entire school has an array of nationalities.
My students' families are always eager to help in school projects, and we have a high percentage of parental involvement in children's academic progress.
My students are kind, polite, and funny. They deserve the best resources that will help them become better math and English language speakers.
My Project
My students come to school full of life and ready to learn! Just like adults get tired of sitting in hard chairs all day, students do, too! They need more flexible and comfortable seating options to enhance engagement and learning. Studies show that students learn better when they are physically active and comfortable. Students can bounce their legs on a bouncy band or wobble in their chair or stool.
Some of the seating options that will be provided with this project are wobble stools, bouncy bands, and wobble cushions.
All of these options will allow my students to sit comfortably and move around while they are learning.
This project would significantly help my students stay engaged in our learning throughout the day. I want them to feel comfortable and at home in our classroom. I cannot wait to see all of the things we can do with flexible seating!
