Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from a low socio demographic. At times, they arrive to school not feeling up to work in class. I would like to offer my students the chance to relax during math lessons in our new math zone. By providing a book shelf, I will be able to give my students the chance to deescalate and get back into the school vibe by picking up a book to read, while feeling relaxed in their computer chair. In addition, I would like to surround them with positive vibes, which is why I have included the desk lamp and floor lamp, along with the green plants.

A math zone in class will get my students ready for class engagement and get them in the right mindset for school.

I am hoping these materials will help students achieve better math scores and help them feel at home when they need it.
