Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Everyone learns through action and experiences. Supplying these math tools and manipulatives will provide students with hands-on games and activities that will allow their minds to grow and learn based on real life experiences.

Games like the Math Integer Game, Crazy 8s Game, Fraction War Math Game and Making Change Game can help students learn abstract math concepts through fun and challenging activities.

Learning through play and exposing students to a collaborative learning environment also helps them develop problem solving skills, allows for enhanced peer discussion and builds on their self-esteem and self-expression.

Manipulatives like the Fraction Tiles and the Multiplication Machine are specially helpful for the majority of my student population, English Language Learners, who learn mathematics through exploration, creation, discovery, and play.
