My Project

My first graders are learning important math skills that are building math fluency. These skills will help them as they move onto more difficult math and will allow them to feel more confident in their abilities in multiple ways to practice these skills. From adding to subtracting in different ways to understanding place values, time, and skills needed for state testing.

My students love to do hands-on work and with the ability to do hands on-activities, they are better able to remember the skills and find different ways to solve that work best for them.
