My Students

Wouldn't math be more interesting if it were interactive and, in addition, you could receive instant feedback? Teachers need to evaluate their students' level of understanding in the most efficient way which will allow more time to focus on students who need the extra instruction.

I teach fifth grade in a low-income neighborhood where most of the parents do not speak English.

Some of my students have learning gaps and need remedial help along with learning the content necessary to become proficient in math. Most of my students are eager to learn as long as they remain engaged and encouraged. I am confident that these kids can excel in math sooner than expected if they have the necessary tools.

My Project

I am requesting 6 packs of white boards, 3 packs of dry erase markers, and 30 erasers to give instant feedback to students when they answer a question. This will allow me to quickly assess student's understanding of the material that was presented and give extra attention to the students that need it.
