My Students

I teach science and math to seventh and eighth graders at a suburban school in Arizona. My students crave knowledge and experiences that make science and math come alive for them. They are bright, talented, and fun.

My students are eager to be successful in school.

They are hungry to learn more about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. They have academic challenges, but they are not afraid to work hard.

My Project

VersaTiles allow the students to practice concepts and check their understanding. With this class set of VersaTile answer cases and question books, my students will master get immediate feedback on their understanding of dozens of math topics. In addition, once we have the answer cases, the students can write their own VersaTile activities and quiz one another on additional topics.

My students will control the pace and the power of their own learning.

They will know, based on the feedback they get from the VersaTiles, whether they have mastered a concept. Once mastered, they will be ready to take a target test. If it is not mastered, they will continue the learning cycle with additional activities and learning opportunities. My students will be empowered to be in charge of their learning!
