Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hands on learning with math is the best way my students learn. When students learn through kinesthetics and hands on, learning takes on a whole new meaning for the kids.

Project based learning is fun, low stake, meaningful and an experience that never leaves your memory.

Every year my class engages in many different projects such as the Game Board project. The game board project requires students to create a board game that uses what we have learn in math. Students enjoy this project because it allows them to use their creativity to showcase all that they have learn in our math class. These projects have help to instill a sense of pride in the work we produce.

We would be great full for these materials. For the past few years the students have been using clay to make game board pieces or design for their projects. The creation of these piece help bring the board to life. Students also use different materials such as popsicles and markers to make their board more appealing.
