Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Manipulatives help early learners to develop math concepts and counting skills. This project will help to create a learning center that will focus on counting and math skills.

Manipulative play allows children to take control of their world by mastering the objects they use.

It is often solitary but when sufficient resources are provided it can also be a cooperative activity.

Here are 3 reasons manipulative materials do just that:

1. Math Manipulatives help make abstract ideas concrete.

2. Math Manipulatives lift math off textbook pages.

3. Math Manipulatives build students' confidence by giving them a way to test and confirm their reasoning.

This project is for counters and flip charts.
