My Students

My students are faced with so many challenges in life, living in a very low income/high poverty and now a pandemic. In my classroom 100% of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. With that being said, my students are still very eager and enthusiastic to learn. They are hardworking and generous even though they do not have much. Many of my students have special needs and struggle in understanding mathematical concepts

My Project

Using manipulatives in my lessons weather we have remote class or in class. Manipulatives can be key in providing effective, active, engaging lessons in the teaching of mathematics. Manipulative help students learn by allowing them to move from concrete experiences to abstract reasoning. Last year many of my students had difficulty solving using Two Step Equations and Probability. This year with the help of equation and fractions tiles and probability spinner i will sure that each student is learning, motivated and confident while solving questions Plus i will make sure that no student is left behind in this lifelong learning.
