Help Mrs. Cox

Although we have a small, rural school, our students are high achieving with a goal-oriented faculty and staff. My third grade students love to work with math manipulatives, which engage them actively in the learning process.

Many students in our high poverty area come to school with a limited background. No Preschools are in our area, which is to their disadvantage. We want our students to be excited about learning and have all opportunities available to them.

The math materials that I have requested will help give these students a tremendous opportunity to explore learning in a new dimension. It will provide the needed daily practice that is missing. I have requested the following items to aid my classroom demonstrations/instruction of telling time: telling time practice board, two-way teaching clock, real-working demonstration clock, and a teaching time pocket chart. The following materials will be incorporated throughout the school year in the math curriculum: a set of dominoes, multiplication facts stamps, regrouping activity chart, and money math activity kit.
