My Project

My math intervention students get excited to learn math every day especially when they realize they now understand a concept that they have previously not understood. However, math can be very tricky for young students as it is made up of abstract concepts. By giving my students hands-on math materials like these tens frames, rekenreks, and number line paths, my students will have the math tools needed to make their math intervention instruction concrete and strengthen their understanding.

As Maria Montessori stated, "What the hand does, the mind remembers." Please help me make math understandable for my students by engaging their hands and minds.
