Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These materials will bring new and out-of-the box math and STEM materials into our math center for hands-on discoveries of key math concepts. Students will be able to work in pairs, independently or in small groups and explore making patterns with link toys, building the solar system on a magnetic board and challenge themselves with ten-frame math problems and perfectly sized puzzles. A special highlight of the center will be the Katamino puzzle game, originally from France, and designed to develop spatial awareness and understanding of geometric concepts!

Goodbye Worksheets - Hello Problem-Solving Math Manipulatives!

With these engaging new center material, my Kindergarten students will be excited to work and learn as scientists and mathematicians.
