My Students

Our students are a diverse group of learners in Sunset Park Brooklyn.  Our class is an ENL ICT class, which means there are varying English language skills, as well as students with disabilities. Our students are hard-working, caring, and enthusiastic about school and about learning language to help themselves academically, and of course, socially! We are also lucky and grateful to have supportive and encouraging parents and family members who continue learning at home to better support the needs of their children.

My Project

While our students are learning remotely this year, students need the same math manipulatives to use at home, that they would usually have available to them to in school. Using hands-on tools helps students develop their conceptual understanding and develop their skills in math.

These tools will help students develop their understanding of the base-ten number system, addition and subtraction operations, measurement, and time.

All tools will be used to access the Eureka curriculum used by our school. We are also requesting a few modeling tools for teachers to use during lessons.
