Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Third grade is one of the biggest years in a child's life. They take everything they have learned in the years prior and build upon it. Multiplication, division, and fractions are three big ideas that are introduced and can be intimidating for students. They must master these areas of math in third grade to be successful in the rest of their elementary school careers.
In this project, I have included items that will help with student engagement and depth of understanding.
My students have been working hard this year and I believe they will benefit from the mats and magnetic manipulatives because it will allow them to practice and see the concepts of math in different ways. I have also included various aids to help them memorize their times tables.
