My Students

Our students are a close-knit community in a creative little enclave of Topanga Canyon in Los Angeles, CA. My incoming first graders love school and learning and extremely miss being in the physical classroom with their friends. We will be learning all remotely to begin the year, and possibly beyond.

My Project

I've always taught math with manipulatives while at school. In order to give students the same hands-on experience, I want to make sure all students in first grade have the same access to the supplies they would normally be able to use at school, but while learning from home.

Manipulatives intrigue and motivate while helping students learn.They make learning math interesting and enjoyable.

I want to be able to teach engaging and meaningful math lessons despite the distance. It is important that all students have what they need to understand math lessons.
