My Students

My first-grade students are identified as Gifted and Talented Students. They come from a variety of backgrounds. Our school has great diversity in many areas. I am teaching math and science this year.

Having organized and neat math supplies will help our students become better mathematicians.

Self Correcting activities such as Versatiles are a great tool for students as they are able to check their work as they go along. Working with hands on materials give students a new way to understand and deepen their understanding of math skills.

My Project

My students love learning! They enjoy being challenged and thinking about math concepts in new and challenging ways. All of these tools will engage my students and allow them to deepen and strengthen the math concepts that they already know and support them as they gain new skills.

Hands on experiences make learning more engaging and powerful for students.

Research shows that young students learn best through hands on experiences and getting to have conversation with other students about what they are learning.

They enjoy getting to apply their newly learned skills through different activities. There is great value in being able to allow them to practice skills in a multitude of ways.
