Math Magic: Engaging Resources for 2nd & 3rd Graders!
Help me give my students visual and tactile educational resource of Airwiz Regrouping Manipulatives to strengthen their addition/substraction skills while referencing place value.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
The materials requested for my students will allow more engaging, hands-on, and visual learning during small group work. These resources will improved academic performance, will work towards mastering foundational skills, and enhance problem-solving abilities by developing critical thinking and analytical skills. Collectively this will strengthen students number sense foundation and prepare them for future academic success and everyday life challenges!
Our new math curriculum for the 2024-2025 school year has teachers taking a different approach to teaching number sense, foundational skills, and mathematical operations.
Teaching mathematical processes involves a methodical approach to ensure students understand not just how to perform operations but also why they work.
The place value, counting money, and telling time resources I have requested will help my students gain the knowledge needed to be successful throughout our new math curriculum while moving them towards mastering other core standards that second as invaluable everyday life skills.
