Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Walking in each day and seeing the excitement on your students' faces and knowing you have the opportunity to create a lasting love for learning is what makes teaching so special. I have learned way more from my students, who I declared as my kids, than I have taught them. The kids in my classroom have the greatest personalities and I know they will make a difference in the future. They are unique and all have special talents. My students are not afraid to show who they are and they always willing to take on the challenge. This why I love teaching!

My Project

I am beyond excited to start the new school as a 6th grade special education math teacher! As a new teacher, I want to make sure my students have the needed tools to explore and be successful in their learning. I also understand that for some parents it can be hard to pay for supplies on top of all of the expenses they already have. I have started gathering all of the needed materials, but realized all of the things I need are still missing. Materials like a whole class set of scissors, glue, paper chart, construction paper, notebook paper, highlighters, posters, etc.

These materials will give all of my students the chance to participate in class and to explore and understand the importance of math with their peers.

My future students and I really appreciate any help that can be given. Thank you so much in advance!
