Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What if the person who was supposed to help you didn't know how to count change or tell you the correct time?

This may become a sad reality if the power went out and the people who need to provide their customers with a service cannot because they rely on digital, immediate answers.

The students of today are often never asked to think outside the box and that is an injustice. By providing students with real world math resources to spark interest and motivation to problem solve and be successful at it. Students deserve to have as many real world practice experiences as possible so that they can achieve.

My Project

With they DynaMath Scholastic magazines students will be able to read about how math affects the lives of everyday people in awesome ways. They will be able to see how math can be a path to a career they don't even know exist. The math manipulative's will allow students to see and feel math in action. The materials will make abstract ideas real. Finally, the problem solving centers will allow students to activate their problem solving thinking abilities on an everyday basis and be successful. My students need a class set of DynaMath scholastic readers, a real world problem solving kit and time center, and a math manipulative library to become math whizzes.

By donating to this Math Investigations project, you will be enabling students to practice everyday math skills so that they may become proficient and successful students and adults.

The more opportunities these students get to touch and practice with real life math manipulative's the more skilled they will become.
