My Project

I am requesting a new whiteboard specifically dedicated to supporting group work and collaborative learning within our math center. This new whiteboard will give students a designated space to work together on math problems, share solutions, and review homework.

Currently, my classroom has one whiteboard, which is used for direct instruction and whole-class discussions.

However, there is a growing need for a second whiteboard—one where students can independently collaborate during small-group activities and review homework problems as a team. This new whiteboard will allow my students to interact with each other, discuss strategies, and visualize solutions in real time as they work through their math center assignments. It will serve as a space where students can clearly explain their reasoning to one another, strengthen their understanding of concepts, and develop their problem-solving skills.

By adding this new whiteboard, we’ll be able to create an even more engaging learning environment where students can take ownership of their learning and collaborate with their peers in a meaningful way. Whether they are reviewing challenging homework problems or working on group projects, the whiteboard will give them the opportunity to think critically, ask questions, and support each other as they work through math problems together.

With the addition of a dedicated whiteboard, we can strengthen the community of learners in our classroom and provide all students with the tools they need to succeed in math.
