Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are always eager to find a solution to a math problem but are often hindered by not having the right equipment. Calculators, math manipulatives, and games will help improve student resources when they reach a roadblock in their critical thinking process. In my math classes, students work better at being hands-on in the step-by-step processes involved with coming to a conclusive answer.

Being able to have students work with whiteboards, play different games, and get acquainted with new equipment (calculators), will greatly improve their mindsets and attitudes towards math.

Math should be fun and student inclusive! When we do the steps together, everyone remembers the process better because they can visualize what we did in class the day before. It has always been my goal to make math class one of their favorite places to be.
