This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project aims to provide my students with exciting, engaging math games that they can play at home over the summer. These games will not only help prevent summer learning loss, but also foster a love for learning and improve math skills in a fun and interactive way.
My students are bright, curious, and eager to learn.
They are multi-language learners from low-income families, many of whom face barriers to accessing educational resources at home. Despite these challenges, they are determined problem-solvers who love hands-on, interactive learning.
Math games promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability in young children. They serve as an enjoyable way for kids to continue practicing and learning. These games will be sent home with students so they can play on their own or with family, ensuring learning continues even outside of school!
The students will receive a deck of card with a a booklet of games they can play with their families and friends. They will also receive a board game of their choice that focuses on math skills they have been learning this year.
By donating to this project, you’ll be helping students stay engaged with math while having fun at home this summer. Your generosity will give them the tools they need to return to school in the fall confident and ready to succeed!
