My Students

My students love Math! They can't wait for Math class everyday. I love to see the joy on their faces when they get a Math problem correct. Math has the ability to open children's mind up to numbers and a world full of possibilities!

My students come for low income homes, and we are a Title I school.

My students care about learning! They are always ready to learn, and show up eager each day. Math is a passion for many of my students. They enjoy our Math lessons, and working in partnerships and groups with each other. I have several "Math Leaders" in my class, and they are role-models for other students in the class. They truly are remarkable children.

My Project

I am requesting paper, laminating pouches, and dry erase markers for Math activities. This year we are using a Math program that encourages my students to play games and build on their learning. These enrichment activities and games require a lot of paper copies for students. With the help of much needed copy paper, I plan to print necessary Math games and activities in Multiplication. The copies will be laminated, which will allow for many uses by my entire class. I hope I will also be able to use the laminated activities with future classes. Dry erase markers will be needed with laminated sheets to write on, and erase after use!

This project mean a lot to me because I share in my students' passion for Math.

Learning mathematical strategies in Multiplication, playing games, and building with enrichment activities will strengthen the love of math that my class has now.
