My Project

This year we have several students who are new to the country. These children come speaking little to no English. The students I work with are in 4th and 5th grade. They are exposed to math skills at their grade level, which is very challenging for them.

I am asking for games and activities that will reinforce math skills but most importantly, math vocabulary.

By interacting with other students and adults, they will be able to learn English while having some fun.

Math may be a universal language but the vocabulary surrounding math is not. The nice thing is that these games can also be played by all students.
