My Students

My students are smart, curious, creative, funny, hardworking, and friendly towards one another. My 18 students represent families all over the world, as well as a variety of learning levels. My school consists of over 1,000 students of diverse backgrounds. This can make teaching challenging because of the diverse learning abilities, but my students are always eager to learn. My students continually face obstacles head on and continually strive to do better. Their drive and passion for learning is amazing!

My Project

Math fluency can often be difficult for first graders. I want to use an interactive math station to change this. Students love manipulatives. Osmo is an interactive math manipulative game that allows students to solve math problems while problem solving with others or by themselves. Osmo promotes learning in a fun way. Students can choose from a variety of math games to help them master math skills at their own pace and level.

Students will work together using creativity, curiosity, and hand-ons problem solving while collaborating with others.

Osmo helps give students number sense and allows them to use spatial reasoning. These skills will help them be successful as they continue through school and life.
