Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every school year teachers try to have new supplies and incentives for the classroom.

Students love to have new materials at the beginning of the school year!

However, it doesn't take long for the supplies to become completely depleted. Also, keeping students engaged on a daily basis is very challenging.

My class goes through dry erase markers, whiteboards, and printer ink very quickly. Students love to print out their work to post in the classroom, hallway, or to take home to show the family. Whiteboards and dry erase markers are used daily by three different classes.

The dual spinning wheel and flickin chicken game will be used as teaching devices, incentives and rewards. Students can use both games to review or master multiple math strategies, such as adding or multiplying the points they accumulate on the wheel or game.

New math materials keep the interest and engagement of students to encourage trying new math methods and not becoming discouraged in the process!
