My Students

My school services children Pre-K through 8 in West Philadelphia! The students are intelligent, committed, strong-willed, and ready to preserve through the many challenges they face.

As teachers in a high needs school, we understand that our students face challenges inside and outside the classroom.

With this in mind, we would like to provide them with the tools they need in order to express emotions in a positive way.

My Project

My students need math centers to enhance counting. Right now we are working on counting 1-20. My students need hands-on learning materials to learn to count to 20. These centers will keep my students engaged because they are centers that are developmentally appropriate and at their interest level. Right now, we have many reading centers that keep reading interesting but no math centers. This will allow my students the opportunity to be engaged, independent, and actively learning.

My students also need a bean bag chair and pillows for a comfortable classroom library to keep them engaged and comfortable when reading.

This will keep my students comfortable and interested in reading.
