Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a diverse population of socioeconomic and language backgrounds. We are learning about the world around us and how to work within our world.

My classroom is a Special Education inclusion kindergarten classroom, which means that I have general and special education students learning together.

We are learning how to identify our numbers, count forward, and become independent life learners. Math Centers is a great way to help ensure confidence and quality basic math skills.

My Project

As this school year is gearing up, learning to count and recognize our numbers is a key foundational skill for ensuring a solid mathematical foundation. Building confidence in their math skills through simple games with immediate feedback is a key to success!

By adding independent math centers to the classroom, students will receive immediate feedback on their accuracy in counting and number identification.

The skills that are learned from independent or partner math centers will help all students increase their confidence in their Number Readiness Skills. Building math skills will help our students throughout their educational journey.
