My Students

In my 4th grade math classroom we do a lot of group work and buddy work.The following supplies: 2 file folder pocket charts, 6 shelf file boxes, border and trim will help design learning centers and organize their work in progress and completed work.

The students love working in learning centers, playing math games and using the computer for remedial as well as enrichment work.

The students learn math and science in my classroom and departmentalize for literacy and social studies. The students enjoy working independently and helping each other/peer tutoring.

My Project

These resources will help me design the learning centers and assist the children in organizing their work while working in learning centers, in groups and also independently. They can organize their completed work and their work in progress with the supplies I am requesting. The pockets will be labeled so the students know where to store their work. This also helps me in knowing what each student has completed and what is ready to be graded. I will be able to design the learning centers with the borders and the students will be able to organize and store their work as they complete assignments.

This project will help my classroom because the students are learning to take ownership of their work, value their work, be responsible and be independent.

These supplies will help them to better organize their work and projects and assist them in preparing to become responsible adults.
