Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My project targets materials that my students would love to use while learning in math and science. Art materials in the circuit accessory bundle, tape, magnets, scissors will be used in math and science projects throughout the school year. I have included binders, bins and a planner to keep all lesson plans and activities organized. I enjoy exposing my students to new materials they haven't worked with before. It gives them the opportunity to let their imagination run wild beyond pencil and paper. It makes them excited and ready to learn something new.

Manipulative are a great way to capture engagement as lessons will be more interactive and hand on.

My students love using math manipulatives during activities and I have included ten Fram manipulatives where they can visually see what happens during addition and subtraction. They have a chance to try solving a problem on their own using first hand experience.

My students always look forward to science and what's a better way to teach science than conducting science experiments and dipping our hands in nature. My project includes materials that students can use to create science experiments.

Incentives are a great way to keep students motivated and ready to tackle the next adventure. Music is a great way to keep engagement while learning. I have included a speaker to use during independent work.
