Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students all receive breakfast and lunch at my school because we house students from four different homeless shelters, as well as those who face domestic violence. Lunchtime is in the latter part of the morning, so my students get hungry throughout the day. I want to give them a snack whenever they are hungry. Also, I want to provide them with the materials for math and science classes: composition books, markers, crayons, and erasers to reward them as they complete their work.

I want my students to be happy as they work and accomplish good grades on assessments and class quizzes; it is fun for them to be able to pick a treat and enjoy it during class time and to have the necessary items to work on!

If they are hungry and can't focus they can get a snack. Also, they get very excited when they are given a treat or reward for the work done, so I know they will put their maximum effort into their work knowing a treat is waiting. They can select rewards such as sharpeners, erasers, or colored pencils. Also, they can choose chips, candies, and cookies from the CraveBox Care package and enjoy BelVita breakfast biscuits. The bins and treasure chest will help to organize the snacks, math and science games and activities, and rewards. Let my students have a "Funtastic" day by helping them get Fun Snacks and supplies needed for math and science classes!
