This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a third grade public school teacher in a low income/high need community, I try to expose my third grade students to all facets of learning in order to help them meet their potential and enjoy the learning experience.

I have a group of ambitious and eager public school students who love to read, write, and solve math problems.

They are learning to apply what they learned in order to comprehend and delve deeply into various fiction stories and non-fiction texts during reading workshop and guided reading. They are also learning how to apply various math concepts into solving higher order problems during math workshop.

My Project

I am requesting various math and reading comprehension skill computer games that my students can use during math workshop, reading workshop, and guided reading center time. These computer games can help reinforce the skills that my students are learning in class. They can also help my students who learn best through visual and auditory aids. By using these computer games, my students will be able to improve their math skills, reading skills, word study skills, and even their writing skills and become better mathematicians, readers, and writers.

With you help, you will make it possible for my students to improve their math and reading skills by enabling them to reinforce lessons learned in class through various math and reading comprehension computer games.
