My Students

Our students take on the challenge to learn as much as they can each and every day! They are curious and have a thirst for knowledge. They love learning and spreading the joy of learning to others!

My students are a group of 25 excited, curious kindergarteners who love to spread their knowledge to whoever they meet.

The school that they go to is located in a high poverty area of DC, and many of them come from low income families. This doesn't hold anyone back though, because we have all embraced the idea that effort determines your success, so the harder you try, the smarter you will be. This attitude towards our everyday learning and the hard work that is put in by teachers and students alike is why we are closing the gap!

My Project

The materials for this project are materials that will help my students in science. We are going to be studying space and living things. To help us gain more information, we need non-fiction resources to read aloud and to let students explore. The headphones will be used for when our students are researching different topics on the computer to write about. They will be provided with child-friendly websites as well as access to educational videos. We will be using the storage cart so that we have a place to store all of our new materials!

Donations to this project will help my students maximize their learning.

We need as many resources as possible to help our students gain the foundation blocks that they will need for the rest of this year as well as to set the bar for the years to come!
