Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items I am requesting are for the STEM library that I have been growing. In any STEM activity/challenge, it's important to give students background information and context. Students need to know what they are doing and why. These books, and additional storage, will support my STEM curriculum. It will teach my students about growth mindset, how inventions came to be, and how they can accomplish these things too.

Literacy is promoted through connecting students with books.

The materials in this project will support my goal to enhance literacy through STEM read alouds. I will use the books for different units/projects. Additionally, the storage bins/cases will provide a safe place for me to store these books for years to come.

My goal is to get my students to see themselves as makers! The best way to do this is with read alouds! This also exposes students to literacy in fun ways. My students are hard working, creative, and ambitious. I would like to nurture this further by providing them with the right books.
